Grange Cross Residents Association GCRA

The GCRA was established in 2012 with the following objectives:

To permit all members of the community (without distinction of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, religious or other opinion) to live together in an environment of peace, trust and co-operation.

To work with each other to maximise the quality of life for everyone and to work closely and constructively with other community organisations in the provision, development, usage, enhancement and protection of community facilities and assets and the local physical environment.

To maximise supports, financial and otherwise, that may be available from State and analogous bodies/organisations and benevolent funds.

To establish or to secure the establishment of a Community Centre (in collaboration with other community organisations) and to cooperate with any statutory authority in the development, maintenance and management of such a Centre for activities promoted by The Association and and by other community organisations, in furtherance of the above objects.

To recognise each other’s (individual persons and community organisations) successes and to offer support when difficulties arise.

In furtherance of these objects, The Association may obtain, collect and receive money by way of grants, donations, bequests, legacies or other lawful method.

In pursuing its objectives, The Association shall at all times abide by the Governance Code for Irish Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations, as published. The Association shall follow the good practice contained in the Code and adopt the main principles (five at present) contained therein. The Association seeks to remain fully compliant with this Governance Code.

The Grange Book, Grange - Past and Present, was launched by the GCRA in November, 2015.
